Prestigious Award for Elizabeth Biggs

We are delighted to announce that Elizabeth Biggs, our Ph.D. Student Researcher, has been awarded a four-month fellowship to the Huntington Library in San Marino, California. Elizabeth is one of twenty-five students travelling to some of the world’s leading libraries, collections and research institutions, as part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s annually-awarded International Placement Scheme.

This placement will enable Elizabeth to access the Huntington's extensive early-modern collections to look into the intellectual history of St Stephen’s Chapel and its staff, as well as the lands they held at the dissolution of the college in 1548.

The Project Team warmly congratulates Elizabeth on this wonderful opportunity to pursue her research at the Huntington Library, and looks forward to learning of her findings there.

"I’m thrilled and honoured to be given this award and am hugely looking forward to being able to work in such a wonderful library next year."
